It has been years since Practical Fox has hauled out the table decor and set up a booth at an event, and we are so excited to get back out there!
S2 Small and Self-Publishing Faire, April 5-6
This book faire is brought to you by some of our favorite local businesses: Two Rivers Bookstore, Daydreamer Coffee, and Indigo Editing, and many more. (Full disclosure: Practical Fox owner and author Kristen Hall-Geisler also works with Indigo as a book editor.)
On Friday, April 5, there will be a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. with readings from several authors. On Saturday, April 6, the book faire will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be plenty of books to buy, and short readings each hour by the authors.

Meet-and-Greet with Author Doug Geisler
At this very same event, PF author Doug Geisler will be in the booth from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, to answer your questions about tabletop role playing and union organizing. He has decades of experience with both and would be happy to give you ideas for running your Beat the Boss campaign. A fresh restock of books just came in, so come grab a copy and talk to Doug. We’ll make sure he has a pen handy for signings.
Reading by Kristen Hall-Geisler
Kristen will be reading a short selection from her translation of Memoirs of a French Courtesan by Céleste Mogador at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Will she choose a passage from Volume 1: Rebellion (out now!) or Volume 2: Spectacle (out September 10!). Let’s all find out together. In any case, a restock of Rebellion came in too, so there will be plenty of copies on hand for you to buy at the booth.
There will also be a few copies of chapter one of Spectacle at the booth on Saturday. It’s Céleste’s first time attending a Parisian ball, and it is fancy af. PF is making a handful of exclusive 30-page zines for the event, so stop by to pick one up.
